Overview
Most ocean plastic pollution originates from waste carried by rivers. The Chao Phraya River is one of Thailand’s main waterways contributing to marine debris.
This hands-on clean-up initiative invites Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors and friends to participate in a paddle-based waste collection effort at SUP Station Thailand.
Participants will use stand-up paddle boards to collect floating debris and river waste. The project aims to:
-
Remove significant quantities of river waste
-
Increase environmental awareness
-
Engage youth in practical environmental stewardship
-
Promote Rotary’s commitment to sustainability
